1. 본 규정은 본회 정관에 의거하여 발간되는 “한국막학회지(멤브레인)(이하 “회지”라 함)의 투고에 관한 사항을 규정함”을 목적으로 한다.

2. 논문은 본 회지에 투고하기 전에 다른 학술잡지에 원보로 발표 또는 투고 중이 아닌 것이어야 한다. 논문이 채택된 후 본 학술지의 서면 동의 없이 유사한 형식으로 한글이나 다른 언어로 출판되어서는 안 된다. 논문의 중복투고로 판정이 되는 경우, 논문의 주저자는 향후 3년간 본 회지에 논무투고가 금지된다.

3. 논문의 투고일자는 논문도착일을 “접수일”로 하고, 1차 수정본의 논문접수일을 “수정일”로 하며, 최종심사 종료일을 “채택일”로 한다.

4. 논문원고는 논문투고시스템을 이용하여 주저자(여기서 주저자는 논문의 ‘제1저자’ 또는 ‘교신저자를 의미)가 제출해야 하며, 심사가 완료된 논문은 논문투고시스템에 업로드해야 한다.

5. 논문의 구분은 연구논문, 총설, 단신, 논평의 4가지로 한다. 구성은 총설-연구논문-단신-논평의 순으로 한다.

(1) 연구논문 : 분리막 관련 분야의 독창적인 연구 결과로서 학술적 가치가 있는 내용과 결론 혹은 사실을 포함하여야 한다.

(2) 총설 : 분리막 관련 전문 분야의 연구현황과 문제점 및 향후의 과제 등에 관한 문헌 고찰을 포함하며 그 자체로서 종합적이고 독창적인 해석을 통하여 학술적으로 가치 있는 결론을 제시하여야 한다.

(3) 단신 : 짧은 길이의 연구논문으로, 신속한 보고가 필요한 연구 결과나 기존 연구의 보완적 데이터를 제시하여야 한다.

(4) 논평 : 특정 논문, 연구 동향, 학문적 이슈 등에 대한 비판적 논의나 의견을 제시하여야 한다.

6. 논문 작성의 언어는 국어(한글) 또는 영어로 할 수 있으며, 국어의 경우 학술용어는 영어를 병용할 수 있다.
(2) 논문 작성을 국어로 할 경우 본문 문장 중의 영어의 사용은 가능한 한 억제하고 국어를 사용하되, 영어를 사용하여야 할 경우는 모두 소문자로 쓴다. 다만 문장을 시작하는 곳에 영어 단어가 올 경우는 시작하는 첫 글자만 대문자로 한다.
(3) 논문내용 중 미생물명 등 학명과 “in situ”, “in vitro” 등 사전에서도 이탤릭체로 표기되는 단어는 이탤릭체로 표기한다. 또한 수식에 사용되는 알파벳 및 숫자도 모두 이탤릭체로 하되 수식중의 ln 및 첨자는 일반체로 한다.

7. 논문서식은 가로쓰기로 하고, A4 (21 × 29.5 cm²) 크기의 용지에 한 줄 건너 앞면에만 타자하며, 그 분량은 아래와 같이 제한한다.

(1) 연구논문 : 표와 그림을 제외하고 15면 이내

(2) 총설 : 표와 그림을 제외하고 15면 이내

(3) 단신 : 표와 그림을 포함하여 6면 이내

(4) 논평 : 2면 이내

8. 원고는 다음 항목의 새로운 면에서 시작해야 한다.

(1) 제목, 저자명, 연구기관 및 주소(국어 및 영어로 작성하며, 저자의 소속기관이 연구 당시와 다른 경우에는 저자의 현 소속 기관 및 주소를 각주에 표시하여야 한다. 영문 제목은 접속사, 관사와 전치사를 제외하고 모든 단어들의 첫 문자를 대문자로 표기한다.)

(2) 국문 초록(600자 이내) 및 영문 초록(200단어 이내) 및 Keywords (영문으로 5개 이내)

(3) 본문

(4) 참고문헌

(5) 표

(6) 그림

(7) 그림 제목표(Figure caption)

(8) 그림 초록(Graphical Abstract)

9. 모든 표는 약 21 × 29.7 cm (A4) 크기의 용지에 명료하게 작성하고, 표의 제목 및 내용은 영어로 하여야 한다. 한 페이지당 하나의 표를 싣도록 한다. 표의 제목은 매 단어의 첫 글자를 대문자로 하되 관사와 전치사는 소문자로 한다. 표 내의 긴 단어는 적당한 약어로 대치한 후 아래에 약어를 정의하여야 한다. 모든 표는 아라비아숫자로 일련번호를 부여하여야 한다(예: Table 1).

10. 그림의 제목 및 내용은 영어로 하여야 하며 한 페이지당 하나의 그림을 싣도록 한다. 그림의 제목들은 별지에 모아 작성하여야 한다. 그림의 제목은 문장의 첫 글자만 대문자로 하고 제목이 끝나는 곳에 마침표를 찍는다. 모든 그림이나 사진은 크기가 8 × 8 cm로 축소하여 인쇄된 후에도 명료하게 해독할 수 있도록 작성하며, 아라비아 숫자로 일련번호를 부여하여야 한다(예: Figure 1).

11. 모든 표와 그림의 설명은 영어로 하여야 한다. 표의 설명은 상단에 위치시키며, 그림의 설명은 별지에 모아 작성하여야 한다. 식(equation)의 뒤에는 반드시 번호를 붙인다. ex) 식 (번호)

12. 본문, 그림 및 표에 사용된 약어, 시료명, 기호 등은 그것이 처음 사용된 곳에서 한 번만 정의해 주어야 한다.

13. 모든 단위는 SI 단위의 사용을 원칙으로 하며, 일반적으로 단위 앞에서는 한 칸을 띄운다. 다만 온도(°C)와 각도(°), %는 붙여 쓴다. 이 밖에 시간 단위의 초는 “s”로, 분은 “min”, 시간은 “h”로, 일은 “d”, 년은 “yr”로 각각 표기한다.

14. 본문 중에 ( ), [ ] 등의 괄호가 나올 경우 괄호 앞이 국문인 경우는 붙여 쓰고 영문인 경우는 띄어 쓴다. 다만, “Fig. 1. (a)” 등의 경우는 ( ) 앞의 숫자와 괄호를 붙여 쓴다. “wt%” 등은 “wt”와 “%”를 붙여 쓰며 본문 중에 “A=25” 또는 “A>25” 등이 나올 경우는 기호 앞뒤로 한 칸씩 띄어 쓴다.

15. 인용된 참고문헌들은 본문에 인용된 순서대로 해당 문구의 다음에 괄호 [ ] 안에 아라비아 숫자로 일련번호를 부여하여야 한다.

16. 참고문헌이 학술잡지의 경우는 저자명, 논문제목, 잡지명, 권수, 쪽수, (출판년도) 순으로, 단행본이나 편집서인 경우는 저자, 제목, 책명, 편집자, 권수, 쪽수, 출판사명, 출판사 소재지, (출판년도)의 순으로 명기하여야 하며, 권수는 글자체를 고딕으로 명기해야 한다. 각 참고문헌의 끝에는 마침표를 찍는다. 단, 없는 항목은 생략할 수 있다. 인터넷을 이용하는 경우 홈페이지의 주소, 날짜, (년도)의 순으로 명기하여야 한다. 잡지명의 약기 방식은 ISO abbreviation title을 기준으로 한다(http://www.issn.org). 국문명과 영문명이 혼용되는 참고문헌의 경우에는 반드시 영문으로 참고문헌을 작성하여야 한다. 참고문헌은 국문 또는 영문 모두 “Reference”라고 쓴다.

17. 연구비수혜 연구논문의 경우 감사의 글을 적을 때 제목에 “감사”라고 쓴다. 영문의 경우 “Acknowledgements”라고 쓴다.

18. 학회지에 이미 게재되었거나 향후 게재되는 논문의 저작권은 학회에 귀속되며, 원고의 투고로서 논문의 저작권을 학회에 이양하는 것으로 본다. 또한, 종전에 발행된 학회지에 게재된 논문에 대해 학회가 이미 관리한 사항에 대해서는 이의를 제기하지 않는다.

19. 교신저자를 이메일 주소, ORCID (Open Researchers and Contributors ID)와 함께 “Corresponding author”로 표기한다. ORCID는 http://orcid.org/에서 등록하고 발급받을 수 있다.

20. 투고된 논문의 신속하고 정확한 심사를 위하여 투고자는 논문 심사 가능한 자를 최소 3~5인 추천할 수 있다.

21. 연구윤리와 출판윤리에 대한 정책은 본 투고 규정에서는 자세히 밝히지 않으나, 학술지 편집자와 저자들을 위한 국제표준(http://publicationethics.org/international-standardseditors-and-authors)을 준용한다.

22. (생성형 인공지능의 활용)

① 본 학술지에 투고되는 논문의 저자란에는 생성형 인공지능(Generative AI)을 저자로 기재하여서는 아니 된다.

② 투고 논문 작성 과정에서 생성형 인공지능(Generative AI)을 활용한 경우, 그 사용 목적, 범위 및 구체적 기여 내용을 투고 절차 중 학술지 투고시스템 내 해당 항목에 명시하여야 한다.

③ 생성형 인공지능의 활용 여부와 관계없이, 논문의 내용과 결과에 대한 모든 책임은 전적으로 인간 저자에게 있다.

23. 논문의 동료 평가 : 모든 논문은 최소한 3명 이상의 심사자가 평가하고, 심사자는 논문의 저자와 비슷한 분야의 연구를 하는 동료로 선정한다. 또한 논문의 저자는 심사자가 누구인지 알 수 없도록 심사를 진행한다.

24. 논문의 투고 및 출판비용(페이지당 비용이나 출간 비용)은 모두 무료이다.

1. The purpose of the policy is to “stipulate the matters related to Korean membrane journal(membrane) (Here-inafter referred to as “gangrene”)” to publish based on the articles of association of this society.

2. The manuscript shall not be presented or submitted as an original paper to other journals before submitting to this journal. After the manuscript is accepted by this journal, it is not allowed to be published as a similar edition in Korean or other languages without the written consent form of this journal. If it is decided as a duplicated publication, the main author of the manuscript shall be prohibited to submit the manuscript to this journal for three years hereafter.

3. For the manuscript submitting date, the manuscript arriving date shall be the “registration date,” the manuscript registration date of the primary revision, the revised manuscript registration date, shall be the “revision date,” and the last day of the final review shall be the “acceptance date.”

4. The manuscript must be submitted by the main author (referring to either the 'first author' or the 'corresponding author' of the manuscript) via the online submission system. Once reviewed, the final manuscript should be uploaded to the same submission system.

5. The manuscript will be classified into four categories including research articles, review articles, notes, and comments. The composition should be in the order of review articles-research articles-notes-comments.

(1) Research Articles: Original research findings on membrane technology that hold academic value and include meaningful conclusions or factual content.

(2) Review Articles: Comprehensive literature reviews on the current state, challenges, and future directions of membrane-related research. These articles should provide a comprehensive and original interpretation that can lead to academically valuable conclusions.

(3) Short Communications: Brief research articles presenting findings that require rapid dissemination or provide supplementary data that support existing studies.

(4) Commentaries: Critical discussions or opinions on specific papers, research trends, or academic issues.

6. (1) Korean or English can be used for writing the manuscript, and English can be used for academic terminologies in a Korean manuscript.
(2) In case of a Korean manuscript, the use of English in the main body should be refrained and Korean should be used if possible; if English is necessary, only lower case letters should be used. However, if the sentence starts with an English word, the first letter of the word will be capitalized.
(3) In the manuscript texts, the scientific names such as microorganism names and words italicized in the dictionary such as “in situ” and “in vitro” shall be italicized. The alphabetical letters and numbers used in formulas should also be italicized but ln or subscript in a formula should be the normal font.

7. The manuscript format should be the horizontal writing, the sentences should be double-spaced at the only one side of the A4 (21 × 29.5 cm2) paper, and the quantity of the manuscript should be limited as follows:

(1) Research articles: Within 15 pages excluding tables and figures

(2) Review articles: Within 15 pages excluding tables and figures

(3) Notes: Within 6 pages including tables and figures

(4) Comments: Within 2 pages

8. Each of the following items in the manuscript should begin at a new page:

(1) Title, author(s)’ name(s), research institute(s) and address(es) (written in both Korean and English; If the author of the institution is different at the time of study, the current affiliation and address of the author should be written as a footnote. English title capitalized the first letter of every word with the exception of conjunctions, articles, prepositions.)

(2) Korean abstract (within 600 words) and English abstract (within 200 words) and Keywords (within 5 English words)

(3) Body texts

(4) References

(5) Table

(6) Figure

(7) Figure caption

(8) Graphical Abstract

9. All tables write clearly in the paper of about 21 × 29 cm, title and content must be in english. Title of tables capitalize the first letter of every word, the first letter of articles and prepositions use lowercase. Long word in the table replace the appropriate abbreviation. And then must define the abbreviations under. All tables are necessary to grant the sequence number in Arabic numerals (Example: Table 1).

10. Title and content of the figure must be in English and posted one image per page. Figure of title must create collected in enclosure. Figure of title, hit a period where the title ends in the capitalize the first letter of sentence. Size of all figures and photographs is reduced to 8 × 8 cm for clear decoding after it has been printed. And are necessary to grant the sequence number in Arabic numerals (Example: Figure 1).

11. Title and content of the tables and figures shall be written in English. Title of the table shall be placed at the top and title of figures shall be gathered and written in an accompanying paper. All of the equation shall be given serial number in arabic number (e.g.: equation 1 (1)).

12. Abbreviations, sample names, and symbols used in the main text, figures, and tables must be defined only once where they are first used.

13. The basic rule is to use SI unit for all types of units. In general, space is required before unit. However, no space is required between number and tempture (°C), angle (°) and %. Besides, time unit uses “s” for second, “min” for minute, “h” for hour, “d” for day, and “yr” for year.

14. If there are parentheses such as ( ), [ ], etc. in the body texts, the space is needed between the parentheses and English word but no space is necessary for a Korean word. However, in case of “Fig. 1.(a)”, etc., there would be no space between the number before the ( ) and ( ). There would be no space between “wt” and “%” in case of “wt%” etc., and there would be one space each of before and after the symbol in case of “A=25”, “A>25”, etc. in the body texts.

15. For the quoted references, the serial numbers should be assigned in Arabic number inside of the [ ] after the quoted sentence according to the order quoted in the body texts.

16. If the reference is the academic journal article, it is necessary to write in order of the author name, the title of the article, the name of the journal, the volume number, the page numbers, and (publication year); in case of a book or edited book, the order would be the author name, title, the title of the book, the editor, the volume number, the page numbers, the publisher, the location of the publisher, and (publication year), and the volume number shall be written in Gothic font. Hit the period at the end of each reference. However, the item not provided can be omitted. In case of Internet sources, it is necessary to write in order of the homepage’s URL, the date, and (year). The concise method of the journal name referenced to the ISO abbreviation title (http://www.issn.org). In case of the reference using both Korean and English in its title, and the reference should be written in English. The title of reference should be written as “Reference” in Korean or English manuscripts.

17. In case of a beneficial paper by the research funding, the title should be “감사” in the Korean acknowledgments. In English manuscript, the title will be “Acknowledgements.”

18. The copyright of the manuscript that is already published or will be published in the near future will belong to this society, and the copyright of the manuscript is regarded to transfer to this society by submitting the manuscript. In addition, for the manuscript that is published at the previous journal, it is not possible to make an objection about the matters that is already managed by the society.

19. The corresponding author is printed as “Corresponding author” with e-mail address and ORCID (Open Researchers and Contributors ID). ORCID can be registered and obtained from: http://orcid.org/.

20. Contributor can recommend at least 3-5 people that can examine paper for quick and accurate review of submitted papers

21. For the policies on the research and publication ethics not stated in this instructions, International standards for editors and authors (http://publicationethics.org/international-standards- editors-and-authors) can be applied.

22. (Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence)

① Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI) shall not be listed as an author in any manuscript submitted to this journal.

If Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI) is used in the preparation of a submitted manuscript, the purpose, scope, and specific contributions of such use shall be disclosed during the submission process in the journal’s online submission system (in the designated field/section)..

23. Peer review: All papers should be evaluated by at least three or more reviewers of similar competence to the authors of the paper and authors are unaware of the identity of the reviewers.
